I make my home on the slope of Hualalai Mountain on a lovely five-acre coffee and macadamia nut farm in Kahalu'u, Kona on the island of Hawaii. Occasional earthquakes and the metallic haze in the atmosphere remind me that this land is actually five volcanoes surrounded by water. The farm, the forest, the elemental nature of the land, and Hawaiian art and culture inspire in me a yearning to communicate the feelings and perceptions that come to me continually. My primary medium of creative expression is woodblock printing and other forms of printmaking. I enjoy writing about my explorations in nature and my process of creating art and living life.
