The element of fire combined with lava seems to transcend the boundaries of color as we typically experience it in our world. Perhaps this is because black includes the entire spectrum of color. This image is one I enjoy printing again and again—each one is different as I do not know until the moment I mix my color what I’m going to add next or what features of the plates I will emphasize.
