One springtime two Chinese Leiothrix parents raised their three chicks right off my lanai. I watched the parents work hard to feed their babies, saw them grow day-by-day, and was there when they each climbed out of the nest and fluttered to the ground. It was a heartwarming and tender experience that showed me the transitory nature of life. Leiothrix are very emotional and like to gather together for very loud group chatters, especially at sunset, on my farm. Printed on Hosho Japanese handmade paper with deckle edges.
